Archery GB

Archery GB is the National Governing Body for the sport of archery in Great Britain with responsibility for the sport from grassroots through to elite level archery. Archery GB has over 45,000 individual members shooting at over 1,300 clubs across the UK.

Together with Nottingham Building Society, UK Sport, Nottingham University and Nottingham City Council we are proud to host the 24th European Archery Championship.

UK Sport

UK Sport is the nation's high performance sports agency responsible for the strategic investment of National Lottery and Exchequer funding into Olympic and Paralympic sports and bringing major sporting events to the UK.

The 2016 European Archery Championship is part of the UK Sport's #EveryRoadtoRio series, which will feature over 30 world class sports events the length and breadth of the UK, with over 900,000 tickets available to the British public to support their athletes.

This ambitious National Lottery funded programme will support British athletes' preparation and qualification for Rio 2016 with up to 85 individual and 10 team qualification spots for the the Olympic and Paralympic Games available, while also generating economic impact for host cities and regions of over £37 million.

Throughout the every #EveryRoadtoRio series UK Sport will be promoting exclusive ticket offers, opportunities to meet the athletes and get privileged behind the scenes access to events.

Nottingham City Council

Nottingham City Council has always had a special association with archery thanks to one of its most famous legends Robin Hood. The iconic Market Square in the centre of Nottingham will host the finals on 28-29 May.

World Archery Europe

World Archery Europe (WAE) formerly known as the European and Mediterranean Archery Union (EMAU) is the continental federation managing archery in Europe, recognized by the World Archery Federation. Its main objective is to promote and encourage Archery throughout Europe and the Mediterranean basin. Its headquarters are in Rome, Italy.
